OCR: Warsaw changed its name to Joy Division, a name taken from the book The House of Dolls. The book describes Nazi concentration camps, in which "joy division" was a euphemism for the females kept as prostitutes for the pleasure of the camp staff. Joy Division caught the ears of Rob Gretton and Tony Wilson during the first part of 1978. Wilson had just opened a dub in Manchester, called the Factory. By June, Rob Gretton had become Joy Division's manager. His first task was to get the band out of their RCA contract, which was accomplished with a payment of £1,000.
